My last 2 days at Fareligh for year 1!

Monday and Tuesday were my last days at Farleigh.

We dropped on Jacqui's present at Asheligh Grove on the way and after Mum dropped me off at Four Winds, Marc took me, James, Josh and a Sandusky student to Longleat.

When we got there, we drove around the Safari Park. We saw lots of dangerous animals such as Lions, Tigers and Wolfs. We also saw some deer and monkeys. The monkeys liked to jump up on our dudey. After our drive arround the Safari Park, we sat outside and we had our lunch. Other students and staff from Sandusky and Ashleigh Grove were there too. The Sandusky lot went on a boat ride whilst we went to watch a bird show. James had to go back to four winds because he had to see somebody and the student from Sandusky went back. They were flying some vultures and some barn owls and we had to duck our heads because they were flying near us.

After the bird show, we looked at some other jungle animals and then we went back home. I was a bit disappointed that Babber couldn't make it that evening because she wasn't sure whenever I was going to be at the house on Monday night so she was offered another job. However I enjoyed myself without Babber and she came to visit me on Tuesday morning and she helped us pack my stuff up also with help from Graham. Luckily Ben wasn't there so I had a nice quiet breakfast.

I am so pleased that the year is over because next year I will be in the house and Ben will be at North Parade so I will hopefully have a nice quiet evening.

In the mean time, I'll be trying to 100% speedrun Abe's Oddysee as Speed Demo Archive doesn't have one yet and there are some new glitches which I can do such as the ghostly Elum glitch and the death delay glitch.  I have got the RTM (Release to Manufacturing)) build of Windows 8, New Super Mario Bros 2 on my Nintendo 3DS, Mac OS Mountain Lion and the Consumer Preview build of Office 2013!

My last academic week at college

This week has been one of the good weeks I ever had at Farleigh.

On Monday, I went to college like a sensible dude and I had a nice relaxing day. After college, Jacqui took me back to Farleigh as normal and I had to have my tea early because we had our presentation evening. At the presentation evening there were a lot of certificates handed out and lots of presents for the people who were leaving. I didn't receive anything but I knew a few people who won certificates and I knew a few people who were leaving and they were Colum, George and Alex.

When we got back from Frome Football Club where our presentation was, Babber and I made my packed lunch and we manage to wear out the Bop It Extreme 2 and Babber put some new batteries in.

I also saw Hannah as well!

On Tuesday, I went to college and then I went to the Learning Centre. At the Learning Centre, Will and I were making a radio show and we were talking about Bop It's, Gio Compario and Abe. After that, we had our maths lesson with Martin and we were playing some maths games at:
www.mathsisfun.com

When I got back, I had my tea. The sausages were a little bit over cooked but I ate most of them. I also had to eat my tea with Ben. Ben was eating his coco pops whilst I was eating my tea.

Ben didn't go to college with us Tuesday or Wednesday because he was doing a work placement at a fam.

On Wednesday, Jacqui and I took the bus to college and we had a nice chill out lesson and then we went back to the base room and I had my lunch. After lunch, we went back to Farleigh and I had Emma. I was a little bit worried to vacuum my room because last week the vacuum cleaner had a nail stuck in it and it was making a strange noise. I was using a cylinder vacuum and it was nicer. Babber came and we were trying to do this death delay glitch in Abe's Oddysee.

What you have to do is you have to do 2 jumps near an explosive and in succession, Abe will become invincible. The first hop has got to land on the explosive and then he does the second hop about the grenade or bomb has exploded. This is handy during a speedrun because the enemies such as the Slig thinks that Abe is dead and Abe is also invincible.

We went bowling and Nath was a bit naughty. Most of the time he was shouting out the S word even whilst we were going to the sports centre.

On Thursday Morning, I had a little bit of work to do and then Jacqui and I went to have a look at my new house, Ashliegh Grove. I had a little visit last week but we stayed there a bit longer. I also had a look around. It was 2 houses in 1.

I was pleased to go back home and next week I'm only staying 2 nights because it's an enrichment week. On Monday next week I will be going to Longleat and then on Tuesday I probably just have a walk around Frome. Mum and Dad will be picking me up in the Dudey on Wednesday afternoon.

Another week gone at Farleigh + some updates

This week wasn't so bad.

On Monday I went to college like a brave dude and after my day at college, I went back to Four Winds and I saw Babber! I was pleased to see her after a week off. She couldn't go shopping with me because the house was short of staff so Graham supported me at ASDA.

I went back from ASDA and then Angela cooked my tea. I had fish cakes, chips and peas and it went down nicely. There were a few black bits on the chips where she must have cooked it longer than normal.

I showed Babber my new Bop It Smash game. Over the week I manage to beat my high score and currently my high score is 266!

On Tuesday morning, I wasn't looking forward to going down for breakfast because I knew that I would have to eat breakfast with Ben. So I woke up, had a shower and then I went downstairs to take my tablets and whilst I was eating my breakfast, the night waking officer went to wake Ben up for the morning. I was a little bit worried because I didn't know how hyper he was going to be.

It was alright though. I managed to eat my breakfast with Ben and then I got ready for college and Graham drove us there whilst Jacqui went with us as well.

Most of my days at college were relaxing as I was allowed to do what I wanted on the computer as I finished all my work. In my PSD lessons Jacqui have been helping other students with their work and been using my folder as an example as it got passed by the verifiers.

Tuesday after college, I went back to North Parade to do some Speech and Language therapy with Helen and my learning centre group. It was quite a tricky one because Helen wanted each of us to do a short speech about buttons. We had to think about some ideas and present them on a piece of paper.

After Speech and Language, I had Maths with Martin. The LC may be running a new Maths GCSE next year so Martin had some past papers for us to do to see how we would get on if we were to take the real thing.

On Wednesday morning, after having breakfast nice and peacefully on my own and after getting dressed, Alley said to me "We are going to set the fire alarms off ." Farleigh's Health and Safety officer was there to test our fire alarms. Me, Jacqui and Sue waited outside as the fire alarms are loud indoors.

Everything was fine and then we went to college. Our tutor Peter wasn't in on Tuesdays and Wednesday. On Tuesday morning we had Bob and on Tuesday afternoon we didn't have anyone. On Wednesday morning, we didn't have anyone. Peter had a chest infection and was unable to come to college.

On Thursday, I had to have breakfast with Ben again. He was a bit crazy with how much cereal he was having and some times he puts me off from my eating. I was allowed to leave at half 10 because I had to walk to the station. On the way Jacqui had to hand in a form at Ashleigh Grove and then we went to the station and took the train home.

Update on Apple!

This week it was Apple's World Wide Developer Conference! On Monday evening, Apple had a keynote speech and they announced a new line of MacBook Pros which are available now, OS 10 Mountain Lion which is available next month and iOS 6 which will be available in the Autumn.
You can watch the WWDC 2012 keynote here:

New house update
I am pleased to say that when I go back to Farleigh in September, I will be going to Ashleigh Grove in Trowbridge. It is a nice quite house with only 4 students. It also has a conservatory linked to the back of the house. It is also walking distance to the college and it's not that far away from the train station.

May Half Term 2012

I went home from college on Thursday with Mum and on the way home Mum told me about these special tablets which would help me with my flying.

I was a bit nervous to take them at first but I had to take them a day before I fly.

On Friday afternoon, Pops came along and Dad took us to the Airport. After we left to check in, Pops took the Dudey van home.

Whilst we were waiting at our gate, I felt very nervous but when we got on the plane and was up the sky, I was absolutely fine!

As I am aware, easyJet are one of the only Airlines that talk about the brace position. They now have pre-recorded safety announcements and the dude says "In your safety pocket, there is a safety card indicating the escape routes, oxygen masks and life jackets. This also shows the brace position which you must adopt if you hear the instruction, "Brace brace!" We even had a bit of turbulence!

There is even a video on YouTube of an emergency landing:

As we landed, we picked up or hire car from Zit Auto and then we drove to the mansion. The Euwings were there before us so we saw them when we got to the mansion. The Browns except Tom Brown came a little bit later as they flight got delayed and we had a nice week of chilling, nice meals except for Thursday when I went to the Italian and they had breaded chicken and chips, and during the day I had WIFI at the mansion so I was able to take my laptop on holiday. Whilst I was there, if Bop It said Dude, I had to jump in the pool. The mansion has a nice garden with it's own outdoor pool. I didn't jump in but I got in using the steps and I had a little swim around.

On Sunday, we went to a beach bar for lunch and they had a musican and he played his guitar and harmonica. Aaron felt like he was going to play Wonderwall by Oasis because that is a very popular song and he did  On Tuesday night we went to a pub in the Marina called the 19th Hole. They had a band playing called The Sun and they played several songs that I knew and one of they was "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley and they also did Wonderwall too!

On Friday, I took my chill pill tablets again ready for the flight on Saturday. I had a nice smooth flight and I was pleased to land at Bristol again because my parcel arrived on Friday and I was able to play on my Bop It Smash and my new Brain Shift today!

Here is a video of me playing Bop It Smash!

Overall, I really enjoyed my week at Portugal and I would go again next year as I know that the flight would be fine as I have my nice relaxing tablets.

A nice week before May half term + Windows 8 Update

This week at Farleigh was a nice positive week and a nice way to end the week.

First, I went in well on Monday. Mum wanted me to go to College like a brave dude on Monday because it was her Birthday.

I went and I did my day at College. This week at College it was all about finishing off my last assessments and improving them.

On Monday evening, I went back to Four Winds and I had my snack. Then I went shopping with Babber and a few other students. I also bought my batteries for my new games that I'm expecting from America. They are Brain Shift and Bop It Smash!

http://i48.tinypic.com/vqjzvn.jpg

I should receive them through the post sometime next week whilst I'm on holiday.

After shopping, I put my Fish Cakes and Chips on a tray and Angela Babber put them in the oven.

After tea, I played some games with Angela Babber and then I went to sleep.

On Tuesday, I had to eat breakfast with Ben. I manage to survive it but I didn't really like it. He sometimes gets a bit hyper at the table.

After my day at college, I went to the Learning Centre and had some fun on the Audacity program with Will and then I had Maths with Martin.

After my 2 hour session, Hannah and I walked back to the house and I had my tea. After tea, Bop It wanted us to play Millionaire and we won £32,000! We played again, and we won absolutely nothing!

After playing games with Hannah, it was bedtime so I went to bed.

On Wednesday Morning, I had my  breakfast and then I went to college on the bus. The bus driver was Elvis lookalike. I went to college and then I went back to house. At Four Winds, I put my washing on and had OT with Emma. After OT, I was with Babber and we went bowling in the evening. After bowling, I was happy to go to bed because I knew I was going home on the next day!

Thursday morning wasn't the best part of the week because I was eating breakfast with Ben and I didn't really enjoy eating breakfast with him. However, I was pleased to see Mum at the Baseroom after my lesson with June and I was looking forward to going on holiday to Portugal today!

Windows 8 Update
Microsoft yesterday has released an updated build of Windows 8 called the Release Preview! It was compiled at 8400 and signed off as Release Candidate last Sunday and now Microsoft are compiling the final build of Windows 8. Once it's been compiled, it will be released to manufacturing and then general availability.

OK week at Farleigh

This week I had an OK week at Farleigh.

I went to Trowbridge College on Monday with Jacqui and everyone was talking about a tummy bug at North Parade whichi si the main Farleigh house. Sharron the baseroom leader was making sure that the baseroom was all clean and everyone was washing their hands. After college, I went back to Fourwinds and I went shopping at ASDA. When Babber and I were looking through the world food section, we found some Cheetos crisps! I was very excited and we bought some Cheetos along with other groceries that I needed for the week. For safety, they canceled my Learning Centre sessions because of the bug. I had my tea and then we continued our adventure on Metal Gear Solid 2. At the end of the evening, we were on a mission for Octacon. Octacon wants us to take pictures of a new Metal Gear that the Marines were making. He wants Snake to take some photos and send them to a computer which Octacon has made some software for. Snake only has 7 minutes to do it because they are having a speech. Once the speech is over, they are free to leave and hunt for enemies.

On Tuesday, I woke up, had shower and had breakfast with Ben. I went to College and I felt a bit worried about the bug again. I stuggled to eat my lunch but I managed to eatt it. The afternoon was tough again because we were doing a difficult assesment which Jacqui and I found tough.

After College, I went back to Fourwinds and I spent the rest of the day there. Later on, Hannah came and she made my tea. After tea, Bop It really wanted us to play Millionaire again so we went down and played my electronic Millionaire game again. This week we weren't that good. We also played on Metal Gear Solid as well and Hannah was good guding me on how to do the task, evening though she never played this game before, she was guessing on what to do.

On Wednesday, I woke up, had a shower, had breakfast was Ben again and catch the bus into Trowbridge and then we were at the baseroom ready for a 2 hour lesson at College with Peter. We did Web Development. After College, we went back to FourWinds and on our way home, a student liked the Wurzules so he put his Wurzules CD on! Ooh arr! Alright me babber?

I did my session with Emma and then Angela and I were playing on Metal Gear Solid and Abe. After tea which I ate very well, we went bowling. I didn't do that well this week but I did have a spare.

I was pleased to go home today and alll other Farleigh students went home this week a day early because of the bug. It looks like everything will be back to normal next week.

Friday 11 May 2012

A short buggy week at Farleigh

This week. I manage to get on with my college days but I didn't fell very well during the weekend. I felt hot but I manage to go to College on Tuesday morning.

Tuesday afternoon was pretty tough. We were doing a new assessment on Unit 4 Business IT Skills and Jacqui and I were struggling with what we had to do. It did involve pesky spread sheets!

Tuesday after College, I went to North Parade and I had Speech and Language with Helen. After Helen, I had Numeracy lesson with Martin and we doing some probability stuff on MyMaths.

After my Numeracy lesson, I went back to Four Winds with Hannah. I had my tea and then Bop It really wanted us to play my electronic Millionaire game again so Hannah and I took it downstairs and played it with Ross. We were so close to winning £1 Million but the audience got it wrong. It was the second most popular answer that would have won us the jackpot prize! We played Brain Shift, Metal Gear Solid and the Snake '97 iOS game on my phone.

On Wednesday, I woke up, had a shower and went down to have my tablet and then I had breakfast with Ben. After breakfast, I got myself dressed and then I caught the usual 9:35 Fairsaver bus. Elvis look-alike was our driver.

After doing 2 hours of web development, I had my lunch and then I went back to Four Winds. I felt a bit hot when I went back and luckily Babber was there. I spoke to Mum and Dad and told them how I was feeling. I managed to do some OT with Emma and I made my bed and vacuumed my room. I went bowling and we had 1 game and I had 86. Babber and I was also playing on Metal Gear Solid 2 and Babber prefers this to Abe!

On Thursday, I got up, had a shower, had breakfast with Ben again and then I did my 2 hour lesson at college. After college, I waited for my lift to the station and then I got the train home. I didn't feel well over the afternoon but I had a hair cut and I'm starting to feel better now.

There has been new information on Windows 8 on forums that I go on and I have seen some new screenshots of a new build of Office version 15.

I have a challenge next week set by David which I couldn't do this week because I wasn't feeling very well. David from CAMHS wants me to just phone my Mum and Dad once a day before tea time. I am allowed to speak to my Nanny & Pops and I have to remember that when I'm at Farleigh, Four Winds is my home!

Sunday 6 May 2012

Another week at Farleigh

This week has been an OK week at Farleigh. On Monday I went to college and went back to four winds. Angela had already done my shopping list and I had my snack and we watied for some other students and then we went shopping. After shopping I went back and Anglea cooked my tea. I had jsut what I asked for. Angela wasn't forgetful. After tea, we made our packed lunch and then I played on my new Metal Gear Solid HD collection disc that had 3 different games, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. I found that Metal Gear Solid 2 was the eaisest out of the 3 and when Snake dies, the game over screen appears and Octacon says either: "Snake what's wrong?" or "Snake respond!" or "Stop kidding arround!" or "Snake? are you OK?" or "What were you thinking?" and then he says "Snake? Snaaaake!"

On Tuesday,, I got up, had a shower, went downstairs to take a tablet for my spots and then I had breakfast and went to College. We are no longer doing spreadsheet lessons anymore. Instead, we are continuing on the Business IT Skilss unit. We will be able to finish our last spreadsheet assesment during Workshops on Tuesdays. After College, I went to the Learning Centre and I had a Literacy and Numerancy session. The Literacy session was more fun that the Numeracy because we were making our scripts for our radio show that our group will be making.

In our Numeracy lesson with Martin, we were looking at probability with numbers. After that, Hannah took me back to four winds and I had my tea. I didn't like my tea because the potato wasn't mashed properly so it become a bit lumpy. After when Hannah finished her tea and did some washing up, w made our packed lunch and then we went upstairs. Bop It wanted us to play my electronic Millionaire game again so we took it dowstairs and played Millionaire. We got up to the £64,000 question which we gussed and we got it wrong so we won £32,000. We also played Metal Ger Solid 2 and we were against a female boss.

On Wednesady, I got up, had a shower and went downstairs to take me tablet and then I had my breakfast. Unfornatley Ben was in the lounge and he was playing his guitar. Jacqui, Sue (Ben's personal tutor) and I all went to catch the 9:35 Fairsaver buss. The buss driver had the same hairstyle as Elvis! After doing 2 hours of Web devlopment at College, I had my lunch and then I went back to Four Winds. I striped off my bed and clothes and put it in the washing machine before Emma came. With Emma, I made my bed, transfrered my washing into the tumble dryer and we played some online puzzle games.

This afternoon was pretty exciting because Angela and I manage to beat the first boss in Metal Gear Solid 2! The day before, Octacon said to us that we can destroy the light and the tarpoling but we didn't realize that we had to shoot them before she uses them as it makes it more difficult. Angela Babber made my tea and after tea we sorted out my washing and then we went bowling. I had a couple of strikes and spares and out of the 2 games we played my highest score was 96.

I only have a short week next week and I'm looking forward to hopefully getting a new HP laptop. My Novatech Nspire Pro hasn't been that great as the mouse pad gets slower and soemtimes the keybaoard keys are less responsive. I have found a nice HP laptop at Staples which if Novatech decide to refund me, this is what I'll be getting.

Thursday 26 April 2012

A better and short week at Farleigh and another update to Windows 8!

This week, I had a better week at Farleigh.

On Monday Morning I went to college and had a great day. After college, I went back to Fourwinds and Jacqui drove me back with a few other students. I went shopping with Angela Babber and there was a Duracell battery offer at ASDA and it was a buy 1 get 1 free. After shopping, Angela cooked my tea. She made a mistake with my tea but I still enjoyed it. She put croquets on the tray instead of chiips. Other than that, I had a nice evening with Babber.

On Tuesday, I went to college and then I had Speech and Language Therapy with my Learning Centre group in the Therapy Room at North Perade. Angela told me she was going to be at North Perade on Tursday and Wednesday and I saw her whilst I was waiting. Will and I had to ask questions that were on a sheet and Will and Rob had to do the same. I would ask Will questions on one side of the paper and Will would aski me questions on the other side. After Speech & language, we had a short break and then we went to the Learning Centre and we had Maths with Martin. We were on MyMaths and we were also playing the MyMaths version of the game 'Play your Cards Right'l
You can play the game here:
http://www.mymaths.co.uk/samples/playyourcards.swf

After the Learning Centre, Hannah took me back to Four Winds. I had my tea and we were playing on a new, old PS1 game, Meteal Gear Solid. The game over screens are very funny as in the background you hear whoever is watching Snake, "Snake? What Happened? Snake!!!!!? Snaaaaaake!"

I am expecting the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection which will be at Four Winds next week.

Bop It forced us to play my electronic Millionaire game so we took it downstairs and play a game of Millionaire with Ross.

On Wednesday, I was allowed to go hoe as I had a parents meeting with my Tutor, Peter who likes to say "Alright ok!" a lot. He reminds me of my Brain Shift as when you turn it on sometimes he says "Alright!" and sometimes he says "Ok!". I also had my interview for my Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT which I was offered a condition place. I have to achieve an overall Merit grade in my Level 2 to do the Level 3 couse and Peter says that I should get the Merit grade.

Windows 8 Update

Microosft have announced that a release preview version of Windows 8 will be ready for download during the first week of June. I will be in Portugal when this happens and I will be downloading it on a Portugeese wireless connection!

Thursday 19 April 2012

Back after Easter Holidays and I was struggling (Windows 8 update too)

On Sunday evening, I wasn't really looking forward to going back to Farleigh. I had a nice sleep but then on Monday morning, I felt like I was going to struggle. On the way over I felt like I wanted mum to take me home but Bop It said "Sorry!" so I couldn't go home. I had about 7 dudes from the point we were in Trowbridge to the point we were at the base room. At the base room, Sharon was there. I knew that Jacqui was driving in to college as that's what she does on a Monday Morning. I felt comfortable throughout the day and during the evening because I had Angela looking after me. Mum forgot the rolls and ham. We went shopping after tea but I didn't realise I forgot a lot. I had to go to the little Tesco with Babber. Babber had a game on my Tetris game I bought for my 3DS. She wasn't that good but she enjoys playing it because it brings her back memories from the time she played it at the arcade when she was young. Angela and I also looked at our summer term targets that I have to achieve by the end of the term.

On Tuesday Morning, I felt a bit sad because I wasn't looking forward to eating breakfast with Ben again. I  sat at the table and he was there eating his breakfast. I had to eat breakfast with Ben but it was OK. I had a nice day at college and then I went to the Learning Centre. In our English sessions our group will be making a radio show on a freeware program called Audacity:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

You can do all sorts of things on this program. I have used it before and I use it on my computer at home. I also have it on my Mac too.  It's great for creating and editing audio files.

In my numeracy lesson with Martin, we were working through some GCSE exam questions so that Martin can look through our papers and see which areas we struggle in.

In the evening, Hannah watched me play Snake on my phone as well as asking Bop It what game we should play next.
The following things mean yes:
"Dude!"
(Says nothing)
"Do It the same, but better!"

When it says "Sorry!" it could mean different things.
When it says "Oh boy!" and "Uh, no!" it means no.

On Wednesday, I went on the buss to college, come back and had a muma mia with my washing. I put a set on and didn't realise that I haven't stripped my bed so I had to put my bedding in another washing machine. I had Emma and I struggled to do my duvet. I managed to do it in the end and Emma and I checked my washing and then I was with Babber. We played on my games, we had tea and then we went bowling and Nath invited her girlfriend Sophie over. In the first game of bowling, I had a couple of spares and we were on 2 lanes. Angela (who was called Babber on the scoreboard) won the first game. On the second game, Sophie won.

I was pleased to get home again today and next Wednesday I will be going home because I got a parents evening and interview for my next year's course at Trowbridge College.

Windows 8 Update

This has been a busy week for Microsoft. When I looked on Tuesday morning, I was very excited because Microsoft announced the editions and said that Windows 8 will be the official name for the next version of Windows.

Windows 8 will be available in 2 different editions:
Windows 8
Windows 8 Pro

There will also be a new version of Windows added to the Windows Family which will be called Windows RT which will be pre-installed on ARM devices and there will be an edition for large companies called Windows 8 Enterprise which most schools and colleges use the Enterprise version of Windows 7.

Microsoft have also announced that the next server version will be called Windows Server 2012.

In the coming months Microsoft will release a Release Candidate build of Windows 8 which is a near-final version and they will be announcing pricing and promotions and off course when Windows 8 will be released to manufacturing (RTM).

Thursday 5 April 2012

My last week before Easter + Abe's Oddysee Speedrun update

On Monday, I went back from college to four winds and it was surprising because Karen was unable to take me shopping that evening, I had to go to ASDA with Babber, Graham and a few other students just like a normal Monday evening. I enjoyed that more because it was nice to catch up with Babber and do a bit of shopping at the same time. Although I see her at the base room at college, she also looks after me at Four Winds on Monday and Wednesday. When we got back, we had tea and then t evenwe had a nice relaxing evening.

On Tuesday, I went to college and the base room was a bit noisy as everyone was looking forward to breaking up for Easter. However, there was one student who was going home early that evening and it was Ben! I was please that evening when he left and just as I went back from North Parade to do an hour of Speech and Language to an hour of Maths, Ben was leaving the building' I had nothing to worry about for the rest of the week.

On Wednesday, there was no college. I had to do a whole day at Four Winds. It was a lot different to a normal Wednesday because Jacqui and I went out in the Dudey with James to do some recycling but the recycling centre was shut. So we went back and then we walked into Frome and bought some ready salted Chipsticks for my lunch. After lunch, Jacqui had to go to Trowbridge to picked up some students from the base room as the base room was still open for work based learning and on the way she did some recycling. When she came back, we had a game of Bop It and then Emma came and I did a nice short session with her. All we did was stripped my bed, looked at some puzzles and checked my washing.

After that, I was with Babber again and after tea we went Bowling. Before Bowling, Nath had a go at some of my games and he invited Sophie from North Parade.
6 w
It sounds like I had a good week and I will have another term of Fabulous Farleigh coming my way.

Speedrun update

I have recently made a 100% speedrun of Abe's Oddyse for PC to Speed Demos Archive and Flip (a forum/site admin( has sent my any% run of the game and the 100% run to the verifiers since last Friday.

I can contact Flip on the forum and I sent him a PM tonight so hopefully he'll reply to me.

Also I am working on an any% run on the PS1 version of Abe's Oddysee. There are a few differences between the PC and PS1 Europe version of the games and that is in the PS1 version you can walk through walls with Elum (Abe's camel that you ride on in Paramonia and Scrabania levels) and you can do an infinite pickup glitch which unfortunately when I try to do it in the Paramonian Temple (Door 2) the game crashes.

A good wekk at Farleigh + a good short week

Last week, I had a really good week.

On Monday I went to college, went back to fourwinds. I did my shopping, had my tea and then we watched Finding Nemo. The DVD was scratched so we couldn't watch the whole film. We got to this scene:

After watching a bit of Finding Nemo, Babber and I made my packed lunch and then we went upstairs and play on my games.

On Tuesday morning, I went to college and after college I had a speech and language therapy session with Helen. Before I went to the Therapy Room, I saw Babber as she was working at North Perade for the evening. In my Learning Centre group there are 2 Wills. One Will likes the Go Compare adverts and the other Will doesn't. When I went back, Hannah made my tea and then we went upstairs and played on my games for the rest of the evening.

On Wednesday, we catched the bus to college and then I had OT in the afternoon. Emma and I changed my bed and we had a look at some online puzzle websites. James who is Mark's personal tutor couldn't book a lane for our normal time at bowling so he had to book an earlier lane. A new student who will be joining us in September came along to the bowling trip so Babber had to take her car. Before bowling, I spent some time with Nath.

After bowling we went back to fourwinds and spent the rest of the evening with Babber.

On Thurseday it was time to go home today. I enjoyed my week at college and the good thing was that I managed to speak to Ben about one of his favourite bands.

This week was a really short week and Bop It was getting slower and slower. On Monday evening, I went shopping, had tea and played on my slow-motion Bop It Extreme 2 with Babber. It survived that evening. On Tuesday, I had Literacy and Numeracy at the Learning Cetnre as I will be having Helen every other week. Bop It was still alive. On Wednesday, it was my Birthday! It felt a bit strange waking up at Farleigh on my Birthday because the last 16 years I always been waking up at home. Before I went home in the afternoon, I spent some time with Nath, James and Babber's son George. The Bop It finally ran out and Alley put some new batteries in for me and she also made my bed ready for next week. When the dudey van came round to pick me up for my Birthday trip home, Sue Read  came to visit Fourwinds and Emma was cancelled. I am glad that next week will be my last week before Easter and Dad and I will be seeing Mum down the Caravan in the Dudey as Mum and a few of her friends will be going down the caravan.

A week at Farleigh with a new change

This week, I had a change on Tuesday!

On Monday, I got up, had breakfast and went to college. After my day at college, I went back to 4winds and Mondays was just normal. I did my shopping with Karen, came back, had my tea and then spent the rest of the evening with Babber.

On Tuesday, I woke up, had breakfast and I was stuck in a traffic jam on my way to college, did my day at college, went to the Learning Centre and then I went back to 4winds. I thought that Ross was going to look after me but no, it was a new staff member called Hannah! I had my tea and after tea I felt really upset so I spoke to Dad and whilst I was speaking to dad,  mum phoned up Steve who came up and spoke to me. I managed to get use to the change as the evening went on. Hannah comes from Westbury, so does Ross! We played a bit of Millionaire and then Ross made my roll for Wednesday. I was so glad that Tuesdsay was over because I know that I would see Babber the next day. I would see her at the Base room at college during the day.

On Wednesday, I woke up, had breakfast and catch the buss to college. I had to eat with Ben but there was another new staff member there and I was speaking to her. When I got back from College, I put my washing on and stripped my bed, and then played Bop It and Brain Shift with Steve. Then I went back upstairs and waited for Emma to arrive. After my session with Emma, I went downstairs and Babber was playing Chess with Nath. So I watched Nath beat Babber at chess and then we went upstairs and played a few games. Angela had to help with the house food so I was on my own for a little while. After tea, I went bowling. Nath invited his girlfriend Holly over. Holly is a day student at Farleigh who lives in Bath. There wasn't any lights on. We didn't know why they turned the lights on but Jacqui reckons that because it was full room it could have been a Moonlight Bowl.

I had quite an interesting week this week and I have got a Boogey ball to take back to my room next week and I will be watching Finding Nemo  on Monday evening as Karen (who I went shopping with) only saw it once and she would like to see it again. Bubbles! bubbles bubblbes bubblbes bubblbes! "He likes bubbles!" "Dude! Focus Dude! Dude! Oww he is a dude!"

Another week at farleigh

On Monday morning I wasn't feeling very well. I didn't really feel like going residential but I went to college in the morning. I felt heady during the day but after College it was time to go back to 4winds. Whilst Jacqui was taking me and a few others back to 4winds I saw 7 dudey vans. One of them was a "Surfs up dude!" When I got back to 4winds, I had my snack and went shopping at Sainsbury's with Karen. We bought all the food we needed for the week and whilst we were shopping Angela Babber cooked my tea. I had fish cakes chips and peas. After tea, me and Angela played on Abe's Oddysee. We did a speed run. Here is an example on what a speed run of Abe's oddysee is:
As you can see, the whole game is played as fast as the player can. This guy is an Italian guy called LoStraniero. He beats the game in 50 minutes and 55 seconds. I can do it in 49:00 and I'm currently submitting my run to speeddemosarchive.com as their world record is 56:58

When Abe was at a new area, I asked Bop It if I should carry on speed running and he kept on saying "dude!" and he didn't say nothing which to us means yes. We also played a bit of Groove It and Brain Shift.

On Tuesday, I woke up, had a shower and had breakfast and went to college. After College I had my first session with Helen at North Parade (the main Farleigh building). Helen does Speech & Language therapy. She told us that on the 13th of March we will be having her at 4 and then we'll have our literacy and numeracy sessions at the Learning Centre a bit later. Mum doesn't like the sound of me doing 3 hours of work as that would mean that I start from 9 till 7! We didn't have Literacy this week but we did have numeracy with Martin normal time. I went back to 4winds at 6pm and the Babber had finished cooking my tea. I didn't like the chicken as the chicken we bought at Sainsbury's was a bit different to Tesco but I ate as much as I could. After tea, we played a bit of Abe (which we got the bad ending and decided to save 50 Mudokons to complete the game) and then we played on the Millionaire game. We didn't do well this week as we only won £1,000. We were on the £32,000 question and we got it wrong.

On Wednesday I didn't catch the bus in the morning as Sharron (the base room leader) needed a dudey so we drove the dudey into college when it was time for our lessons. I went back to 4winds early than usual. I usually go back at 1:!5 on a Wednesday but Jacqui took me, Sue and Crazy Ben back to 4winds at 12:30.  During the afternoon, it was an exciting afternoon as Microsoft finally launched the Consumer Preview of Windows 8! It is a beta version and if you really want to download it, you can download it here:

It was revealed during the Mobile World Congress Conference in Barcelona! But before that, Alison and I did my washing and strip off my bed before Emma came so that she could show me how to do the tumble dryer. Unfortunately, she didn't know how to work one of the tumble dryers so we had to ask someone to come and show us how to use it.

After I had my session with Emma, me and Angela played on Abe's Oddysee again and we managed to get to the ending area (The Boardroom). Whilst I was playing it, Emma came back upstairs to let me know that I was one of the chosen students by OFFSTED to have a chat with an OFFSTED inspector and show them around the house. Angela said to Emma "We are near the end of the game and we are going to get the good ending. Do you want to see it?" and surprising, Emma came and watch the final level and good ending of Abe's Oddysee!

After tea, we had an OFFSTED inspector called Wendy. She chat to Louise first and then we had a chat with her about Farleigh and then we showed her around the house as she needed to check the house. After that, Nath, James and I went bowling. In the morning I saw that Crazy Ben was on the list but luckily he didn't come! I managed to get a spear in my 2 games and when I got back, I had nice clean clothes for next week and I snuggled up in my feathers and then it was home day when I woke up.

Back after half term and back into Farleigh!

This week, I felt ike I whish I was at home. On Monday, I went to college like a good lad and I did my day at college. Before my last lesson of the day, I asked mum if she sorted out  my room at Fourwinds and she texted me back "Hey groovy dude! You never guess what arrived at 4winds?" It was my brand new Groove It game I bought from eBay! Angela enjoyed playing Groove It when I played the one from home and after tea, we played a bit of groove it, and a bit of Abe.

On Tuesday morning when I woke up, I didn't enjoy eating my breakfast as crazy Ben was sitting at the table eating his breakfast. He was quiet though. After college, I did my Literacy and Numeracy lessons at the Learning Centre and then I went back to 4winds and played my electronic Millionaire game. It uses the old 15 questions format and we got up to the milion pound question which Dad didn't know the answer too (he was our phone a friend.) After playing millionaire, Angela and I went back upstairs and played som games upsatirs.

On Wednesday, I woke up and had breakfast again with Ben. It was a bit worse this day because he was more loud and he had his cocopops bowl near his mouth to drink up the milk. I didn't like it so I looked away when he was doing it. I did my 2 hour lesson at college and went back to 4winds and I had OT with Emma. I went bowling on the evening and I didn't enjoy it this week because Ben went. On the way back they were talking about Barnie and Ben was talking loud.

On Thursday, I was glad to get home again because I had to eat my breakfast with Ben again and he was talking loud again.

Mum and Dad had a meeting at Farleigh on Friday and they dicussed that I would go to Sainsbury's instead of ASDA to do my shopping as that's where mum buys our shopping from.

My last week at Farleigh

My last week at Farleigh was a good week, but I forgotten a few things on Monday. I forgot to pack my lunchbox and my phone was left in the car. Mum had to come all the way back from Bristol to give me my stuff. I didn't see mum when she gave my stuff back but luckily I didn't because I would have felt like going in her car and going back home.

On the evening, I went shopping and had Assuages, Mash and peas.I spent the rest of the evening with Angela and Bop It called us Dude lots!

On Tuesday, it was a calmer day. I woke up, had breakfast, went to college and then I went to the learning centre and I had my literacy and numeracy sessions there. When I went back to the residence, I have chicken, chips and peas. I took my Millionaire game downstairs and played it with Ross and we won £32,000. Later on after when Angela did the washing up and when Lean and then we all played Millionaire. James (one of the students) knew some of the French questions because his mum speaks French.

On Wednesday, it was quite and exciting day because when I looked up on the forums that evening, Wayne (aka: Javajolt) posted that the Windows 8 Consumer Preview will be available to download to on Feburary 29 as Microsoft are going to launch the Consumer Preview with anevent in Spain, Barcolena. I now have MSDN access at college which allows me to get free license keys for software such as Windows. I got a license key for my Mum's new computer which she will get after half term. I didn't go bowling that night because it was on at 9 till 10 and it was a bit late for me  But Angela had to go bowling so a Farleigh staff called Dawn looked after me instead. Dawn never played Bop It before so I showed her all my Bop It games. On Thursday, I was glad to go home. Mum picked me up from the base room, went back to Four Winds and packed a few clothes and went home. I am now enjoying a few days down in St  Ives and the Euwings are going to be living on our cottage when we go home on Tuesday. I'm hopefully will have a better term and hopefully Windows 8 will be nice and stable on my PC when I install it.

Another 2 weeks gone at Farleigh + a meeting on Friday

I had one good week and one not so good week at Farleigh. On my good week, I went in sensibly on the Monday morning and I enjoyed the week there but this week I wasn't really enjoying my time. I wasn't that keen on Ben but I had a good time bowling on Wednesday with Nath and James. On Wednesday Afternoon, I met Helen who is the deputy-principle at Farleigh and she is also their Speech & Language Therapist. After half term I'll be doing Speech & Language therapy where I will be chatting with 2 other students to practise my social skills. On Friday, I had a meeting at Farleigh and they decided that I should spend time with Ben as maybe it would help me to get to know him and I'll realise that he isn't' that bad.

Well It's my last week at Farlegh before half term and I'm really not looking forward to going back tomorrow.

What a Medicine week I had!

I felt really uncomfortable on Monday night as I had a nasty lump on my ear. I kept phoning my mum and she called someone at Farleigh to come and speak to me. After the staff member left, I manage to go back to sleep.

On Tuesday, I went to hospital and they gave me some antibiotics. It was some medicine. I started to take it on Saturday and the lump came up 2 days before the end of the course. I had a tough Maths lesson at the Learning Centre and my English lesson was much easier as I find Maths more difficult than English.

On Wednesday I catch the buss to college and the buss driver looked like Elvis! Ahah Ahah!

I had OT in the afternoon and me and Angela (Babber) went bowling and we had 2 games.

This week, I felt a bit sad. Maybe taking medicine  away from home might have been it. Monday night was better and I felt a bit worried on Wednesday because Ben's name was on for bowling but he didn't turn up. Phew. We also played 2 games and I came 3rd on the second game and I managed to get 2 spares!

I also have a challenge to do this term and I have to do my breakfast all by myself and if I do, I'll have a nice Dell laptop. Woo-hoo, but every day I now have to take a tablet (hatch) for a whole month. Muma mia!!

Saturday 7 January 2012

My first week back at Farleigh

I had a really good Christmas break. On Christmas Eve i was round with my Cherry Garden friends and on Christmas Day I was round Nanny's house. On New Year's Eve I was round Nanny's house and I went back to Farleigh on January 3rd.

I really struggled to go to bed on Monday. I didn't fancy going back to Farleigh because I know that on the evening Angela wasn't going to be there and I thought I would really struggle without Angela there. But I had Ross and she did me a nice tea and luckily Mum did me a roll for Wednesday so I didn't have to make one.

I slept alright on Tuesday night and I woke up, went downstairs and Jacqui did me breakfast. She couldn't find my butter so I had Farleigh butter instead which was ok. I had my 2 hour lesson at College, went back to the base room, had lunch and went back to Fourwinds at 1:15 and Jacqui took me back in the Farleigh dudey. I didn't have OT that afternoon and Angela came that evening and she was glad to be back and looking after me. I went bowling and I would have won if Mark didn't play.

On Thursday morning during breakfast I sat next to Louise and Ben. Louise is our house leader and I didn't like sitting near Ben because is he loud and he's a bit crazy sometimes. I was pleased to be home again and I now catch the 11:49 train instead of the 11:44 train which was 30 minutes late.
