My First 2 Days at Terrific Trowbridge

It was Monday Morning. I woke up and I had a shower and I sprayed my Sure for Men Quantum deodorant. After that, I went down to have a little bit of toast and I had a bourbon. After breakfast, I got dressed and I got in the plain dudey and went to Trowbridge College for my first day. They parked at Farleigh's base room. I got out, went in and I met Jacque, one of the people who will be supporting me.

I was a bit worried because they test their fire alarm before they have the drill at Trowbridge and there was an alarm in our base room. I really didn't want to stay in the room so Jacque and I went outside for a little bit. Luckily we spoke to Neil on our way to the classroom and he said to us, "I've been here for 15 years and they never test the fire alarm on Induction days as they got so much to do."

That made me all feel better. So the first session was just a introduction session where they would introduce what we were doing on the course.  Neil was explaining to us hat he was going to be our tutor and we had a 'getting to know you' session'. We had an ice breaker and we had to figure out who liked/disliked things. One of them was dub step! I was also given my induction time table and my main time table. I only have to go in Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week and the Dudey will come to pick me up Thursday!

After break, I meant to be looking around the college but Neil said that I haven't fully enrolled so I had to stay at the classroom. I couldn't ember what was wrong with my enrolment.

In the afternoon, I was given a student handbook and were we having a tour on the college network. They got their own portal which you can access things like return to the Windows desktop, shutting down computer, eStudy etc. We also had a worksheet to fill in about the college so we know what to do in case of an emergency.

Monday evening was just a chill out evening and I also did my own washing.

This Morning, we had another work sheet to fill in about health and safety. Neil told us about where to go incase the Roshni fire alarm goes of and he also did say "There will not be any fire drills this week."

After break, we were discussing class rules which we did a poster in the afternoon. I also had an introduction to eStudy which I would be using at home, at Farleigh and at College. Before the end of the day, we had a presentation about the college and we were allowed to go home.

Unfortunately, the plain Dudey didn't take me home as it was broke. I had to go home in a car.

Next week, my normal timetable will start and I will be home from Fabulous Farleigh on a Friday.

  1. Hey, I like the fire alarm picture. Are you settling in all right then?

Have you got support teachers in there that you're getting on well with? Neil sounds like a helpful guy.

I was playing your version of 'chop suey' to my friend Hannah today, she was very impressed.

    Keep the updates coming.
